Roulette Facts – The game of roulette with a spinning wheel and ball is believed to have first began in Europe in the 18th century. Roulette as we pretty much know it today first appeared in Paris about 100 years later. In the 1950’s, the French created the single zero game to reduce the casino’s edge. The American wheel has a single zero and double zero increasing the casino’s edge.
Roulette Purpose How to Play
In roulette, the purpose of the game is to guess on which number or group of numbers the roulette ball will land. A player has the option of betting on a single number, group of numbers or to choose whether the number will be red/black or odd/even.
There’s two different kinds bets that you can place in roulette called inside and outside bets. The inside bets are those placed on a single number or group of numbers and are on the interior area of the roulette layout. The outside bets are around the exterior of the roulette layout and are the other betting choices.
Playing roulette online is a little easier than playing at a land-based casino. Playing online is a great place to learn roulette too without the pressure of other players and the dealer. When playing roulette online, you simply need to place your chips on the bet or bets of your choice and press “spin”. When the ball stops on a number, a marker will be placed on the winning number on the inside of the roulette table layout. Any winning bets are then paid out.
